Why are there white spots on my bread?Updated a month ago

During the baking process, a low carb flour dusting is used to prevent the bread from sticking to the baking trays. Occasionally, remnants of this dusting stay on the bread, which is very normal and you can find it with many other types of breads. However, due to its white speckly appearance, it can get confused with mould.

They key differences are that the flour spots will just be white, dry and powdery, whereas the mould will have a much more raised and 'spore' like appearance, usually more clumped together and often with green or blue tints.
